The long-range Nexon EV is expected to get a 40 kWh battery pack offering more than 400 km of range.

Tata Motors has lined up a couple of new EVs for the Indian market, which includes long-range versions of the Nexon EV and Tigor EV. Now, according to a media report, the former could be launched on April 20.

The long-range Nexon EV is expected to get a 40 kWh battery pack that could offer more than 400 km of range. The car could also come with a more powerful 6.6 kW AC charger.

Reports suggest that the long-range version might also get other upgrades like rear disc brakes, new regenerative braking modes and ESP.

Earlier this week, Tata Motors unveiled the Curvv concept that previews the brand's second-generation EV platform. The first model based on the new architecture is expected to debut in the next 2 years.
