Rumour: Maruti Grand Vitara to get ADAS by next fiscal

Toyota is also expected to roll out ADAS-equipped variants of the Hyryder.

According to a media report, Maruti Suzuki is likely to introduce the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) on the Grand Vitara by the first quarter of the next fiscal.

The report states that the ADAS-equipped variant of the Grand Vitara could cost Rs 50,000-75,000 more than the top-spec mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid trims.

Reports also suggest that Maruti Suzuki had initially planned to introduce ADAS on the Grand Vitara in the third quarter of this calendar year, but the rollout was pushed back due to a shortage of semiconductors and other components.

Toyota is also expected to roll out ADAS-equipped variants of the Hyryder around the same time.

Currently, the Grand Vitara's safety kit includes 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESP, Hill Hold Assist, front & rear disc brakes, ABS with EBD, Hill Descent Control and TPMS.
