Sweden: Next-generation Fiat Linea spied!

Fiat revealed the facelifted Linea sedan in India last year. The Italian automaker currently sells the previous sedan as the Linea Classic along with the new Linea facelift. While neither sedan has been setting any sales records, the next generation Linea has just been spotted testing in Sweden.

The test mule of the new Linea has been heavily camouflaged, but sources say it could be longer and wider than the current car. The new Linea is expected to offer less premium features and will have its model line-up streamlined to keep production costs in check. The Fiat 500 facelift will be launched later this year. According to the report by Autoevolution, the refreshed 500 could provide insight into the engine options that will be offered with the new Linea.

The all-new Linea will reportedly be underpinned by the Small-Wide architecture that was also used in the development of the Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X. The report also states that markets like India and Latin America are unlikely to see the new Linea for another two years.
