Tata Motors launches Ultra T.7 truck for urban transportation

Tata Motors has introduced the Ultra T.7 Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV), which has been designed for urban transportation. It is available with a modular platform with various deck lengths and 4-tyre and 6-tyre options. The company claims that it has the highest payload capacity in the 7-ton GVW category.

The Ultra T.7 features a sleeker version of the Ultra cabin, which measures 1,900 mm in width and is easier to manoeuvre through narrow streets and tight corners. The truck also gets clear-lens headlamps and LED tail lamps.

The truck can be used in applications such as transportation of e-commerce products, FMCG, industrial produce, consumer durables, electronics, essential goods and LPG cylinders. The reefer variants of T.7 are suitable for transportation of vaccine, pharmaceuticals, perishable goods, food items such as eggs and milk, along with farm produce.

The Ultra T.7 is powered by Tata's 4SPCR engine, which produces 99 BHP and 300 Nm. It has a crash-tested cabin, air-brakes, adjustable seating positions, tilt-and-telescopic power steering and a dash-mounted gear shifter. Standard equipment includes a music system and USB fast charging port. The truck also comes with Fleet Edge - Tata Motors’ connected vehicle solution that enables fleet management.

The Ultra T.7 comes with financing options, nationwide service support, a warranty of 3 years / 3 lakh km and also offers Sampoorna Seva 2.0 and Tata Samarth – the company's commercial vehicle driver welfare scheme, uptime guarantee, on-site service and customised annual maintenance and fleet management solutions.
