Triumph Scrambler 1200 X launched at Rs 11.83 lakh

The 1200 X's lower seat height makes it more accessible for shorter riders than the 1200 XC.

Triumph has launched the Scrambler 1200 X at Rs 11.83 lakh (ex-showroom). It is positioned below the Scrambler 1200 XC and 1200 XE.

The biggest difference between the Scrambler 1200 X and the 1200 XC is the seat height. The 1200 X has a lower seat height set at 820 mm, which can be dropped to 795 mm, making it more accessible for shorter riders.

The Scrambler 1200 X is powered by a 1,200cc parallel-twin engine that produces 89 BHP and 110 Nm. It has five riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Off-road and Rider configurable.

The 1200 X is equipped with a more basic suspension setup. It features a telescopic front fork and a Marzocchi adjustable mono-shock at the rear, while the 1200 XC gets adjustable shock absorbers at both ends. Braking is handled by axially mounted Nissin calipers instead of the Brembo M50 calipers offered on the more expensive 1200 XC.

In terms of features, the Scrambler 1200 X comes with a digital instrument console, cornering dual-channel ABS and traction control. The bike is equipped with a 15-litre fuel tank and weighs 228 kg.
