Tyre inflators for Mahindra XUV700: Enthusiasts share feedback on a few

I did some research but there are a variety of options available in the market that fall in a wide price range. That's why I got confused.

BHPian sapien recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Looking to buy a tyre inflator for our Mahindra XUV700, hence, did some research on the same. Found a tremendous amount of information in thread 1 and thread 2. Got a lot of responses from the BHPians, but there are a variety of options which are good and in a wide price band. This has led to more confusion, hence, to get some quantitative results, created this comparison chart.

Requesting everyone to share their opinion based on their personal experience. Note that I have also added Woscher 802D to the list which is not present in the below comparison:

Here's what BHPian Kosfactor had to say about the matter:

If you are going to use it as an emergency device or a once-in-a-few-weeks top-up device - then a small rechargeable one like a Mi tyre inflator is best. It's a compact unit and it's accurate, there is no need to access the vehicle / plug it into the socket etc.

For off-road use, you need something like the ViAir with battery clamps.

Here's what BHPian Oppanna had to say about the matter:

Using the Bergman Digital which has been posted above for a little over 2 years and it is performing brilliantly.

It comes with a metal barrel, unlike its counterparts. It fills up the tyre pretty quickly and yes, of course, it does get hot by the time you top up all 4 tyres.

Speaking about the build quality - it is sturdy, comes with a small torch which is really helpful and most importantly the pump sticks to the ground when it is ON and doesn't move around on its own.

Here's what BHPian RoadFiend had to say about the matter:

The Viair will outlast my cars and even me! Its epic build should also count in terms of never having to ever buy again.

Here's what BHPian dicor had to say about the matter:

Good comparison. I would also like to include other key technical parameters like 0-30 PSI in how many seconds? Apologies, I don't know the technical term for that.

I found SwasthikFabs overpriced for all the stuff that they sell.

I have four tyre inflators at my home:

  • Good Year tyre inflator - Purchased from PayTm for INR 1600 in 2014; did not last two months.
  • TIREWELL TW-7001 12V Digital with LED Light and Three Different Nozzles (TW-7001) - Purchased on Amazon in 2018. It is permanently stored in my Scorpio Classic and still works; I use it almost every week. The current price is INR 1900
  • Amazon Brand: Solimo Portable Tyre Inflator, 12V Analog - Purchased from Amazon in 2021 and 2023. One stays in Scorpio-N, while another is often switched between Jimny and XUV5OO. I use it on occasion and it works great. The current price is INR 1150
