XUV500 Xclusive Edition launched

Mahindra announced the launch of the XUV500 Xclusive Edition today. Priced at Rs. 14.49 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai), this edition resides above the top-end W8 variant.

The Xclusive Edition gets additional features at a costs of Rs. 59,000 over the W8 front-wheel drive variant . Additionally, it is equipped with an electric sunroof, a reversing camera, voice messaging system, aluminum pedals, illuminated scuff plates and an anti-pinch driver window with express up and down. Buyers can also opt for a 6-way electrically adjustable driver's seat at an extra cost of Rs. 16,000. Changes to the exteriors include grey alloy wheels and 'Xclusive' badges.

Beneath the hydraulic assisted bonnet remains the same 2.2 liter mHawk diesel engine with the same power and torque figures. No mechanical changes have been made to the car.

The XUV500 drives respectable monthly sales numbers for a car of this price, averaging ~2,800 units a month. With these added features Mahindra hopes to maintain the premium public perception towards the XUV500.
