Cartier 'Travel With Style' Concours to be held in Jaipur

The sixth edition of the Cartier 'Travel With Style' Concours d'Elegance will be held at the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan from February 23-24, 2019. 

Prospective entrants can send vehicle details including model, chassis number, specific history and recent photographs via email: ctws2019@gmail.com before October 31, 2018. Only cars and motorcycles with Indian histories or imports restored in India are eligible for entry. Entries will be accepted on the basis of rarity, history, condition and provenance.

The Concours features classic cars and motorcycles, which will be divided into separate classes. 

Automobiles:

Pre War Classics – up to and including 1945

Post War Classics – From 1946 up to and including 1965

Indian Heritage – Indian made or assembled from 1947 up to and including 1965

Preservation – up to and including 1965

Roadsters – from 1946 up to and including 1969

Pre War Transportation - up to and including 1945 (special class)

Motorcycles:

Veteran – Vintage - up to and including 1930

Pre War - from 1931 up to and including 1945

Post War - from 1946 up to and including 1969

The first Cartier 'Travel With Style' Concours d'Elegance was held in Mumbai in 2008. Since then, Delhi and Mumbai have hosted the event on multiple occasions. In 2017, it was held in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad to host 5th Cartier Concours d'Elegance in` Feb '17

The fifth edition of the Cartier Concours d'Elegance has been scheduled for February 2017. After switching its venue between Delhi and Mumbai for the first four editions, the fifth edition of the event will be held at the Falaknuma Palace grounds in Hyderabad.

The Cartier 'Travel with Style' Concours d'Elegance is now a FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens) World Motoring Heritage Year programme (WMHY) and has got patronage from UNESCO. It also ranks among the top eight classic car events in the world, and is listed as a Type 1 event.

Those interested in participating in the 5th Cartier Concours can send their entries to ctws2017@gmail.com, before September 30, 2016. Details required from prospective entrants include model details, chassis number and specific history of their vehicle, along with recent photographs of the car or bike.

In order to maintain the quality of the event, only cars and motorcycles with Indian histories, or recent imports that have been restored in India, along with documented proof, will be eligible for entry in the event. Moreover, since the 2017 Cartier Concours will be held in South India for the first time, organizers have decided to give preference to the entries from the nearby regions.
All entries will be divided into the following classes, depending on their manufacturing year:

Automobiles
Pre-War Classics – up to and including 1945
Post-War Classics – From 1946 up to and including 1965
Indian Heritage – Indian made or assembled from 1947 up to and including 1965
Preservation – up to and including 1965
Roadsters – from 1946 up to and including 1965

Motorcycles
Veteran - Vintage - up to and including 1930
Pre-War - from 1931 up to and including 1945
Post-War - from 1946 up to and including 1969

Additionally, the best preserved car in the event will be awarded the FIVA Preservation Award.

4th Cartier Concours d'Elegance - 14 March 2015 at New Delhi

The fourth edition of the Cartier 'Travel with Style' Concours d'Elegance will be held in New Delhi on 14th March 2015.

The event will feature rare and historically significant classic automobiles and motorcycles owned by Indian royalty and noted private collectors. In addition to the pre-established classes, this edition will feature two new automotive classes - 'Picolo Fiat Class', celebrating the Italian company's famous small cars and the 'Veteran Class' for motorcycles from the dawn of motoring to 1930. Only a limited number of entries, handpicked by Cartier curator Manvendra Singh of Barwani, will be showcased.

The judges for the show will include Sandra Button (Chairman of Pebble Beach Concours), Jean Todt (President of FIA), Riccardo Patrese (former Formula One racing driver), Sir Michael Kadoorie and Nigel Matthews (classic car collectors), David McKirdy (poet and classic car restorer), Yasmin le Bon (supermodel) with her husband and Simon Le Bon (musician) among other.
