kkr2k2, since the error has a code (11), the error description must be given in the HU's manual. It will most likely be towards the end of the manual in some section called "Troubleshooting" or something like that. There will also be a solution there (though in some cases they will probably ask you to take the HU to "Authorised Service Personnel")

If you are looking for a bass tube, look no further than JBL. The only question is do you want 10" or 12". The 10" is 5000/- and the 12" is 6500/-. The JBL CS300.1 amp (Rs.12,000/- I think) will drive them well.

It is most likely lens failure. i hope it is not, but i have not heard of many other failures in CD players. please take it to authorised service station.

p.s should you not have posted this in the ICE section ???

my cousin has a JBL bass-tube which he is not using. its a 10''. i will using that in my indica for which i dont want to spend much on the amp. is there any amp. in the region 5000/-. (i know i must be kidding if i asked for a JBL amp).
How about a sony-xplod xm-1252GTR? or
How about a Pioneer GM-3200T or GM-5200T?

You can use a Sony amp to drive the JBL tube. their cheapest 2 ch. amp (which can be bridged to 1 channel) i think is the 552 and retails for about 3-4K. Spend the rest on nice RCA wires.

Error 11 can be due to a failing laser or dirt on the lens. It means that the CD was not recognised. I would refer ths to an authorised service station.

Possible issues:-
1. The disc is not clean or inserted upside down
2. If not the lens is dirty
3. Mechanical error fault. Issue with the mechanics that loads the cd into the spindle motor.

In your case since you see scratches on the disc after trying to run, it is clear that the cd is not getting loaded properly.

I had similar problem but with a different H.U and same error message "Err 11", it used play normal audio CD but was not able to play any MP3 disk, i tried everything but no results, ultimately i got the lens replaced, after that it worked absolutely fine till date. the damage was around Rs1400/- including original lens & labour.
