Bluetooth HU

Hey Guys

planning to upgrade to a BLUETOOTH enabled HU for my new PALIO 1.6 SPORT.
  • Whats the best availeble in the market?
  • How good is the bluetooth functionality?
  • how good is the clarity when used in tandem with a mobile?

Hi There
Well I am not too goood with this but shall try
Currently I am using a Blaupunkt Hamburg MP57 head unit which is a bluetooth enabled head unit which also has ipod conncetvitiy & AUX opt with it & the clarity of the voice is extremely good, I have been using the same from the last 5 mths & i am extremely happy with the sound quality
And BTW are you looking out for Bluetooth enabled HUs or Blueetooth compatible HUs
The cost of the same when I purchased was Rs 15950 with B/W & I was told that Blaupunkt stuff onyl comes with B/W, But not sure on that.

The MP57 is very good, I have heard it and seen it in action.

The Pio 7950 is probably the cheapest Bluetooth/USB equipped HU out there.

Buy a set that provides for external microphone (like Bl. MP 57) so as to reduce mic's distance from your mouth. In sets with built-in mic only (like the recently launched and much advertised Sony model), persons at the other end often don't hear your voice clearly because of mic not being near the mouth.

For 12K with B&W, there is an LG HU with OEL display and Bluetooth... You may want to check it out.

RE: Bluetooth HU for Palio

do check out Blaupunkt Kingston as well. marked price of 15950 but a premium dealer he would come down to at least 14500.

decent call clarity. i have not had call drops or voice fade so far.

bluetooth sync is easy. it doesnt sync with my palm treo, nothing ever does sync with treo. But it does work fine with my e-62

Thanks Cancern, I am looking for BT enabled HU, the main purpose being to use it with my mobile.

Bangalore Traffic Cops have banned the use of BT headset.....so the best option under circumstances is an ICE with BT.

Prices of HU with integrated bluetooth

Hi,

I'm looking for a bluetooth integrated HU. I came across the following:

1. Kenwood KDC-BT7539U.
2. Kenwood KDC-BT7043U - 11000/- (B+W). Suggested by the dealer when I asked him for number 1.
3. Pioneer DEH - 6150BT.
4. Blaupunkt HAMBURG MP57/68.

Can anyone update the prices for the above?

Also, Kenwood's site seems to be outdated from what the dealer tells me. He says (2) is a 2010 model while (1) is an older model. I personally have my doubts looking at the numbering in the series.

Does Blaupunkt have an India specific site? Who are the authorized dealers?

Any other HU suggestions are welcome. My budget for the HU is between 8-12k.

Question for the mods/gurus - Is it possible to have a ready reckoner excel sheet somewhere on the site with prices of the latest models updated on a quarterly basis or something. I see the same questions over and over again on many threads.

I think such a list will be a boon.

Th dealer is right. 7539U is 2008 Model and 7043U is 2009-2010 Model.

@rupinder Go for 7043U or if u can get 7539U!

You could go for the Clarion HU that TATA A.S.S offers for the Nano. I think it costs around 8k and also comes with front 4" speakers. Has iPOD interface, Bluetooth, USB, Aux-in, 1 Din and above all looks slick!

I bought Blaupunkt MP57 for my Swift which I sold to a friend.

Ordinary looks, excellent sound, excellent connectivity with phone. Not a single problem.

Now my friend appreciate it very often.

I highly recommend it.

Bought it in July, 2009 for Rs.6200 without B&W.

Thanks abhi. How did you get to know the latest models? Is there a site or do you have a brochure soft copy that you can send me?

Wow. That's a very low price. A dealer quoted me 10.5k for it with b+w. Do you know of any official list of Blaupunkt dealers, especially in Mumbai.
