I am going for a new palio 1.6 in formula red, though canary yellow is also very tempting!

Want to know whether it is being made-to-order or there is a stock of unsold cars left with Fiat that they are selling at a discount.

since the discounts on Palios are quite huge (30K on 1.2 and 50K on 1.6), can I push for still higher discounts??

Has anyone bought a 1.6 recently, if so, how much discount was given?

Also I want to know if i purchase my car from say Noida, how do i get it registered in delhi where i live?

just check on the palio users group on yahoo and you will get all the information you need.

To answer your first ques. The 1.6 is made on order so you get a spanking new car everytime you order one! 50 K is a good discount and you can haggle for 5% finance payout and maybe some accessories.

Looks are subjective. I own a canary yellow 1.6 Sport bought in APR-2006 and, recently been to a hill top and you have to see that lot of people were around the car and taking pictures standing infront of it, as if they wanted to show their dear and near ones that it is their car.

So beautiful is canary yellow colour. It also provides exclusivity on the road. I think only palio looks great in yellow cars and not any other B-segment cars... (in my view)

I still feel fiat is same and did nothing atleast on its website, just see their home page and it is among those pages where details appear in the pop up with a request that please stop any pop-up killer if you are using it(!!!) and not on main page!!!Though I am zero in Palio but posting my views on FIAT web which I visited to see PALIO's detail (which I failed to get) I neither able to see any interiors nor full snap with details and choice of colors which most of car companies now offer on their main page.

Hi Rishi, which dealer offered you this price in Pune ? I just had a chat with a Tata dealer and he is offering 4.54 on road for the 1.6 Sport.. basically a discount of Rs. 75000 on the onroad price of 5.29 lakhs
The 1.2 ELX is available for 3.9 lakhs on road.

How come there is such a huge variation in discounts between Delhi & Pune??
Here the dealer is giving only 30K discount on 1.6 which means an ex-showroom price of 4.58L - 0.3 = 4.28L ex-showroom !!!

while in Pune its 4.54L on-road!!!

and i thought cars are cheaper in Delhi :-(
