And better looking IMO. Wonder what engine options they'll bring forth

What does that mean btw??

This means' All over India if anyone says VW the first thing that comes in anyones mind is a Beetle"

I dont really know if the new Beetle will be an eye candy as its erstwhile Classic counterpart.

If they sell the Classic version at even 7-8 lacs they will be loaded with bookings overnight
Ah! The light shines on me now , thanks!

What I like about the new design is that they've captured the essence of the old Beetle and given it mordern-ish straight lines, and it does look rather nice, striking, at least, for those who disagree

It however will fail to strike up the same nostalgia that we feel when we see a classic Beetle.

Beetle has not really been popular in Europe. Other than funky looks, it offers nothing special.

Also, because of its bulbous design, expect lots of parking scrapes as its corners are difficult to judge.

3-door cars will not have good future in India anyway.

And surely I shall line up for one too! Spent my childhood on the backseat of one, and so always have that 'our car' kind of feeling whenever I see the model. My father still goes gaga over the solidity of its design - take it anywhere. The bug gone corporate - that's what the new beetle looks to me; still cute, but lost its rustic charm.

Default India's getting BUGGED!The Beetle's coming!

Guys,
News just in from the horses mouth itself. The Volkswagen Beetle's coming soon. The Bug's going to be officially launched in India within the next six months. Pricing will be in the range of 18 to 22 lacs.

Here's a picture for the uninitiated few.

Would love to see the Mini's rather than these.

Any details about the engine options?

CBU zindabad!

But if VW can try to fit in within 15-16L, I guess there might be people interested.

And I thought Beetle was a people's car!
Needless to say, it won't sell in significant numbers here.
