Mine would almost definitely not be a Fiat-unless they do something drastic to their a.s.s. Most probably a fiesta 1.6s!

Will be deciding by March '09 if everything goes well and according to plan.
Change that too.
I have just got a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant V6 GTZ out here in the States.

In Mumbai, most likely a hatch. but I am not sure about that.

A Porche Cayenne for me.
After driving the Tucson, I am a fan of this breed of vehicles (the stance and driving posture of an SUV, handling of a car, torque of the CRDi and 4WD).
From what I have read, Cayenne must be pleasure to drive and truely an engineering marvel...

Mine is definitely a 4x4. It is Safari as of now since no other SUV looks that good in that price band. If I have the money, then it is the Pajero or the Outlander; again going by looks only. I haven't driven any of these.

Sitting on the fence

Was planning to buy a car come Diwali 2009, mostly a hatchback but dont want to commit to another loan when I'm already paying my home loan EMI's.

Love the i20 but hate its weedy engine. Eagerly waiting for the Grande Punto and Jazz.

Most immediately am looking to buy a decent bike, ride a classic 180 and eagerly waiting for a really good bike I can upgrade to.

Cheers

A white Honda City AT, definitely!

I see threads in which people are calling the new Honda City Ugly... "No offence" to them, but i think they dont have a clue about contemporary car designs.

you cant claim that raghu. beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. moreover, every individual has different choices. so just because somebody dislikes a product you like, you cant say they are wrong!

Just got the ANHC. My next car would mostly be Next Gen Fiesta or i30 sedan( if it comes) or VW Polo.

Typical Indian that I am, I would need a booted car with great mileage, at the least possible price and with very low maintenance cost. That leads me, five years from now, to the then to be introduced Nano Sedan perhaps!

Assuming I have no car loan to repay today and staying at a residence with enough space to park a sedan, I would go for Fiat Linea MJD.

Thanked: Once

Current car: 2005 M. Lancer 1.8 INVEX

Next car:
As a 2nd Car/ for family use - Tata Safari 2.2 VTT

For personal use:
Used Toyota MR2 or Nissan Fairlady 300zx - planning to go for either of these before end of this year.

Though I would still want to keep my Lancer as long as I can keep it running.

almost in the same boat as Karan. Just picked up ANHC. I need to retire my 7 year old Palio in the next 2-3 years - so planning on either Fortuner/Santa Fe.

Not much serious thoughts as of now..Anyway following are the cars which has a chance at this moment of time.

* Hyundai Verna CRDI
* Fiat Linea 1.3 MJD
* Vista Sedan (Hope for a 2009 launch)

Sometimes I do feel why should I spend money up to 8 lakhs? I can be much comfortable with Tata Indica Vista Quadrajet
