Are these OEM brake pads by Brembo?
How much did they cost? Where did you get these from?

Please let me know your initial impressions as I am planning to get the OEM replacements by Brembo.

You possibly missed my query. Sorry if you already posted this elsewhere (if so can you point me to it?)

Thanks!

Will you be using these with stock rotors? My friend also got a set of Brembo's for his Skoda Rapid from Car Spares for INR 2000, the brake bite is excellent and way better than stock pads, especially the cheaper TVS ones which come now and are pretty pathetic. I hate the ABS tuning though, it kicks in way too early and way too hard which does not inspire any confidence during hard braking. Wish VW gave better brakes in such powerful cars.

My friend facing an issue with squealing sounds, he contacted the guy and they sent him another set of pads free of cost, such is their confidence on the product, top notch service. Waiting to wear out my pads and will go for the same ones on my Vento with brembo rotors.

Your Polo looks hot with that new bumper

No man.. didnt put the aux radiator in. When we took off the front bumper we saw the car comes with the 'hot climate' aux radiator.. which is bigger.

Have ordered the Aux radiator from the RS5 anyhow. will see the impact when its gets here. Its a cheap part ($150). Next up is to paint the aux radiator with some metallic black paint to improve emissity (heat extraction). Should improve performance a lot especially in our bumper to bumper traffic. See the Mightycarmods video on this.

Pad cost was ~2400 shipped from the boys at YOLO performance and wraps. Look em up on facebook. They r the official dealers for Brembo's in India. They also stock OEM replacement rotors and slotted ones as well. I think 8k a rotor for slotted ones.

I plan to keep the stock rotors for now. ABS isnt an issue for me as I've upped the brake assist via VCDS on the car and ABS hardly ever kicks in. Plus the 205 tires are a huge help.

When these pads wear out, we will upgrade the rotors. The usual rule of thumb i follow is - 2 sets of pads per rotor.

Here is the diagram for the Aux Aux Radiator if anyone is planning to do the upgrade. Part No can be googled. Your going to need a bit of radiator hose (10cms or so) and a 2 extra hose couplers.

Pads are on and they do make a huge impact. Initial bite is so much stronger, and overall brake effort is significantly reduced. What also becomes really apparent is the xds working, as the car now really pulls hard towards the apex. You can feel the inside wheel braking and the car rotating much stronger. All in all, worth the 2500 spent.

Some more updates on the brakes. Braking has improved significantly and the initial bite is terrific. XDS involvement has also become very pronounced during any kind of hard cornering. In traffic, Ive to adjust my driving style a little as the new brembo pads are very grabby compared to the TVS pads. Overall a very good mod. I've also asked him to get me a set of Brembo HP2000 (track pads) for the Polo for my race events.

A new issue has propped up with the cluster with the speedo needle dropping below zero, and the cluster speedo reading down by 5-10kmph off GPS and the Digital speedo. Also the needle is struggling a bit on the way down, particularly from 30-0. Have contacted VAGTUNE for the warranty (if available).

Hi prithvi: I use a BMW 5 series and an A6, and was considering the GT tsi as an extra city car for when we need a small car. Was considering this as are used to nice engines and gearboxes on the sedan, and did not want an ordinary city car which we would never use due to the driving experience. Do you think this GT Tsi is the right choice? the new GT Tsi comes with Apollo alnac tyres - due you think its worth upgrading these and to what. I don't want to change the original rims. Did you upgrade your headlight bulbs and if so to what? Lastly where can I buy the original centre armrest and price? Does it just fit in or does it require modification? Thanks, g

Gt is the perfect choice given our traffic conditions! Its a brilliant little rocket car and hilarious to drive. Get a bwtter set of tires asap. 205 yoko S drives work like magic for me. you can get them to fit the oem rims as well. Headlights are stock for me, seem to be good enough so no need to upgrade. Armrest is a straight fit, no modification needed. I got mine from VAG tune but now there are a lot of other vendors offering it,
