Yeah that was me. Didn't get rear-ended though, dad reversed into a wall.

Dad has a habit of leaving the car in neutral (and pulling the handbrake) when he parks. I tried to make him to shift to 'P' when he parks, but he keeps forgetting. The night before i took the car out and parked it, leaving the shift in 'P'. So in the morning when my dad sat in the car, out of habit, he shifted one step down and engaged 'R' instead of 'D' (which he assumed) and slammed the accelerator. Result: banged into the wall behind.

I guess the bumper needs to be replaced.

The wall has a rough stony finish... so there are those minor dents that can be seen as white spots where the paint has also come off.

Hope you get that fixed well & asap. Don't like to see that happen to a new car. Any improvement on the mileage doc?

Nah, it's just you! Rim looks fine.... the dirt on the surface gives it that wavy look

Any improvement in the milege? The car must have done a reasonable amount of Kms now.

8.33 Kmpl in the city huh. That still seems a bit lower than what others seem to be getting. I read elsewhere on the forum that people are getting anywhere between 9 and 12 kmpl with the i10 automatic in the city. Guess it also depends on your driving style and the traffic conditions in your residing city.

If the i10 automatic gives 9-12 kmpl in the city, I can't imagine what the i20 1.4 automatic would give. I guess i20 1.4 auto owners should be very happy with even 7-8 kmpl mileage in the city!

The poor FE is due to the fact that the car is driven approx 2kms everyday only!

Third service is finally over yesterday. Let's see the FE now. Will be taking her for a 50km drive to the suburbs tomorrow.

2 kms a day keeps good FE away!

Jokes apart, what car do you use for your daily commute?

P.s: Your car was the prime inspiration for me to go for a black i10 asta A/T. Also, I have driven 8200+ kms in 7 months time, and I am extracting around 13 kmpl FE from my car in mixed city-highway conditions.

This car is for dad.

I use my Honda normally and my jeep on weekends.

Now I remember - I read about your encounter with a spoilt rich brat in mumbai (accident) and how he got away from police.
