Re: Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai

Dear Ravi - the colaba MFC's colour is known as "AZZURO". This car brings back memories of MAS2937. My uncle had purchased this car in 1984. He used it for many years and then gave it to my brother-in-law. He also used it for many years before he sold it when he bought his Maruti. I remember that in 1993, I drove MAS2937 down from Goa to Mumbai with my brother-in-law and his family via Ponda and Belgaum. It took me 10 hours of continuous driving to come from Goa to Pune. The car worked beautifully.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

Hi Speedy,
I hav two cars on my radar but they are in Tatanagar. Owner of one of the car (S/Select 1957-58 ot sure) is retiring on 31st Jan 2011 & will then sell the car. He is using it to encash his conveyance allowance. Other one (1956 Milecento) is bit modified (Say Steering wheel, Taillights, Headlights etc) but no permanent damage.
Do we have some time & your need is URGENT?
FYI: The document work there can take 15-20 working days which is as good as one month.
**Else you can help me with my 1956 Millecento, coming soon in town for resto.

Raab Rakha,
Sonu

Hi Sonu, thank you for your reply. I have bought a 55 Millecento and am looking for a shell basically to play with. There is a fiat (50's) belonging to someone i know comming for restoration. I have not seen the car so cannot pin point the model, but i am sure many people on the forum are aware of the car.

This car yet again belongs to a single lady. There is something about lady driven Fiats and their condition in South Mumbai. Im pursuading atleast 2 of them (for their Fiats ofcourse). The lady is my friends neighbour, and from the information recieved know that, she is a loner. Have passed a word about the club lets see if she joins the pack.

Meet at Carter road

Another eventful meet at Carter Road today with Fiats and other well wisher marques in the company of some amazing enthusiasts. A surprise ride down to Mumbai by Karlos in MTP8389 in record time (inspite of overheating issues) was another high point of the lovely afternoon. A big thanks to Sameer "Dada" Kadam for being such a great host to us all today.

Finally the "Fiatful Summer" sorry "Winter" has begun. I wish everybody a good classic Fiatful season ahead.

FCCCI - Mumbai meet Sunday, 19th Dec 2010, 1030 am, at CCD Carter Road, Bandra

It was a great meet indeed, on this wonderful and pleasant Sunday morning.
Hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did and I take this oppurtunity on behalf of FCCCI - Mumbai, to thank Mr. Sameer Kadam (man with the BIG heart) for hosting the party today, at CCD, Carter Road, Bandra.

We must give "3 Cheers" to our diehard FIATIAN KARL for driving down 180 kms from Pune, in Amol's Fiat, just for the meet, an activity that is now something normal for his crazy FIATISM, at all our monthly events.
Nevertheless, Abhishek and Tejas who should also be commended for having caught up with us, after an exciting and hectic off roading event they had been for, at Mhape.
We missed all the others who couldn't make it, but I'm sure that they will make up, by coming for the next planned MEGA RALLY in mid January.

Let the pictures do the talking as usual now:

Lovely pics Mr. President. It seems you people had a great time at CCD slurping coffee and all. Whats the story of MTJ 4150. Is it on its original paint.

Bombay Beauties..

Wow guys - the 'Bombay Beauties' gleaming in all their finery as usual !

Amol's Rover and Feroze's Kingsway seem to've given fine company to the ol' Fiats

I missed you all, as much as MRX 6839 missed her pals.. Next meet, for sure.
