Dear all - sorry, I missed this one due to work, work and more work (too close to D day now). Maybe next time with MRY3112. And Cyrus, ORVMs were NEVER OEM in PP cars.

Best regards,

Interestingly one is a convertible. Is this a chop job

I cant seem to do a good job with uploading it here though
I had posted more photos I found online earlier on this thread. They must have negligible milage, knowing the collection.

Did you notice they are LHD?

The convertible must obviously be a local alteration, possibly executed at the museum itself.

That grille is a cheapo after market affair, very popular with cabs in Bombay.

Was this Ignition Key Surround also available in Indian Cars?

This was fitted to many later cars, not Elegant. Not necessarily factory fitted to all cars though.

In one of the owners manual for Select downloaded from millicento.it, the same Ignition surround is shown. I did digitised that one, need to search for the drawing.

Is it possible that maybe it was a Dubai Dealer Fitment? As Our car had exactly the same mirror in exactly the same spot.

Karl.

The mileage on both those cars is under 10K.

They had to be LHD as the UAE law doesn't allow one to regester a RHD car here.

The chop is actually pretty well executed so it must have been someone who knew what he was doing. I wonder what they did to compensate the loss of rigidity.

Did anyone notice the Airfilter on the Black Elegant MAS 8034. Is that original? Even if not it seems to be very neatly fabricated.

It doesnt seem to be the Original one, as the curves on the edges do no match the original spec. Or maybe its just the pictures that make it appear so. Roni, any comments on that??

Indeed, it has been fabricated locally from the OH REE G NAL sample.

FCCCI - Mumbai Mega Rally

Time for our next FCCCI - Mumbai Mega Rally.

At our last meet at Cafe Mocambo, it was jointly agreed upon by all members to reserve Sunday, 16th Januray 2011 for having our next FCCCI Mega Rally in Mumbai
So friends, lets pass the word around and make it another grand event with maximum participants and families for this upcoming event.
We will work out finer details by month end, but just to give everyone sufficient notice we are planning well in advance.
Lets post confirmations one or two weeks before the event.

We also have to plan a meet/Drive for December. I had a suggestion of driving down from Dadar (DPC) to Gateway of India for a very historic photo session and to any local eatery for snacks thereafter.
Lets make the BESHT of these winter months with the 5 F's.
FIATS, FRIENDS, FOOD, FUN and now FOTOS.

Not 'Natina', but quite Natty, na ??
Notice those slim whitewalls !
