Hyundai Tucson facelift unveiled globally

The updated Tucson is expected to be launched in India sometime next year.

Hyundai has revealed the Tucson facelift for the global markets. The SUV receives several cosmetic changes both on the inside and out. It is expected to be launched in India sometime next year.

The updated Tucson gets subtle changes to the front end. It carries forward the same V-shaped grille, albeit with minor tweaks. It still has the LED daytime running lights integrated into the grille. While the stacked headlamp units and bumper remain unchanged, Hyundai has updated the air dam ever so slightly. It also gets newly designed alloy wheels.

Hyundai has made substantial changes to the Tucson’s interior. The SUV gets a new dashboard with twin 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster. There’s a new 3-spoke steering wheel with the gear lever positioned on the steering column.

Under the bonnet, the Tucson will carry forward the same set of engines. Currently, the SUV is offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that makes 154 BHP and 192 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel that makes 183 BHP and 416 Nm. While the former comes with a 6-speed automatic, the diesel engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available on the top-spec Diesel AT variant.

The Tucson is equipped with a host of safety features including Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera. The SUV also gets dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and an air purifier.
