Indonesia: Datsun Cross to be unveiled on January 18, 2018

Datsun has released a teaser image of the Cross - the production version of the GO Cross concept. The car is scheduled to be unveiled in Jakarta, Indonesia on January 18, 2018.

The Datsun Cross is based on the GO+. According to the teaser image, the Cross gets gets revised front-end styling that features a black grille with a thick chrome border, flanked by circular fog lamps. It also gets sweptback headlights with integrated LED DRLs and a redesigned front bumper that looks rugged compared to the one on the GO+.

A spy image from December 2017 has indicated that the Cross will be offered with a roof-mounted spoiler, roof rails, revised rear bumper with integrated reflectors and a silver scuff plate. The car also gets black plastic body cladding on the sides and around the wheel arches.

The Datsun Cross is likely to share its interiors with the Go+ and will have 7 seats. The dashboard design is expected to be similar as well.

In Indonesia, the Datsun Cross will be offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This engine produces 67 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm.

While Datsun is yet to confirm the Cross for India, media reports suggest that it could be launched in the country sometime in 2018.
