Mahindra Thar Armada spied in near-production form

The Thar Armada is expected to be launched on August 15.

The Mahindra Thar 5-door appears to have entered its final testing phase ahead of its official launch. The latest spy images reveal what appears to be a near-production mule of the Thar Armada.

The Thar Armada is expected to get a different front fascia with a tweaked grille design. It will be equipped with LED headlights and taillights and will ride on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The test mule seen in these images is also equipped with side steps.

Inside, the Thar Armada is expected to get features such as electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, reading lamps for rear passengers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen paired with a 9-speaker Harman-Kardon audio system, a digital instrument cluster and an auto-dimming IRVM.

The Thar Armada will be offered with the same set of engines as the standard model. These include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
