No need for roll cage if your vehicle has OE roll hoop / B pillar.

This years edition of 4 guna 4 has got good support from brands and community. A special class is formed for the ATV's. Team trails are also part of the offering. So you can do it as lone ranger and also do it as part of team to take on other teams.

Sorry for delay in answering. Had gone on a little drive up in to the mountains with a friend. He is building a house there and his objective was to check on progress. I had my own agenda to look at some trails for an overnight SUV outing. Enough OT...

Open to all but challenges will be suitable for tackling only in 4x4 machines with articulation, traction and power. Any particular vehicle that you'd like to question about? Most of SUV's are ruled out.

Whew! Still trying to recover after a full day out in the field. So just few teaser pictures from Puneit & Neha.

There was a demo show of Polaris ATV's by three professional ATV's drivers and then a timed three lap run.


Not really surprising that our country's top rally ace Gaurav Gill beat them all with his three lap timing. Here he is taking the start

The walls was one challenge that could be done only as a team. This was amply demonstrated during the "team Trials"

The end approach, like the start, of slush pit was at ninety degrees and needed a back and forth approach to align before one could get out.

To start the day a walk about for competitors was organised. Each obstacle was described and method of scoring informed. Questions and apprehensions were settled. You can see fair sprinkling of volunteers marshals in the group wearing their fluorescent yellow jerseys:


After the walk about there was a judging competition. All the lovelies were lined up in the parking lot and a distinguished panel of judges rated the cars for looks and preparations.





Judges were Commissioner Noida (Chief Guest), Tutu Dhawan, Gaurav Gill.



There were some nice looking non-participant curves on display too!



And the winner was:


All the cars lined up behind while I wait to have the fancy dress part of proceedings to be over:


And there was enough canopy cover available for viewing junta and the drivers families to make it a full day picnic - although with lots of dust during the course of the day. Slice of Italy had put up stall to serve food and cold drinks through out the day.


After the judging all competitors drove in to the challenge ground to line up at various tests. The last picture is of the only all women team of Anu & Anjali driving up in their Gurkha. More of them later.
