From marshaling SS2 on both days with Arka, we noticed that the gypsys in general were having a much easier time in Palar than the heavier Jeeps. The 3B was a close contender to the gypsy though because it is light weight as well and the short wheelbase gave it a little advantage.

I must congratulate the chennai team for beating out what I thought was an unbelievably good gypsy team from Bangalore. I honestly thought that those gypsys would easily win the competition but the skills of the chennai team truly surprised me! Congrats!

Vishnu,my question was not about Jeep vs GYPSY, but just about what drivtrain the Cjs were using ,No doubt that the gypsy guys from bangy namely sddu,viji and prithvi are one of the best i have personally seen, but just wanted to know why the Jeep is always better.Got to know the Cjs were running xd3ps with 5.38s. Was just keen to know what if the cjs had om616 or G1s, awesome event and drivers skills , soem favourites like vikram and sanjay david too.
Hoping to be a part of the next years palar challenge where the boys are seperated from the men, its a JEEP thing, WE JEEP GUYS RULE ALL OVER THE WORLD.

OM616 guess is not suited for this terrain, because of the stock GB ratios of the MMs, not much experience about G1 though !
