You can hitch in to any Jeep/Gypsies. But do not think about doing the OTR in your Bolero if its 4X2

Thanks

Most of us are rookies and newbies too, which 4WD do you have? BTW, don't get the 2WD Bolero to the event, it will be a hassle for others. Find a seat with somebody's 4WD vehicle.

Guys without vehicles, please make sure you reserve a seat with somebody who has a participating 4WD. Don't just show up and expect to be accommodated, that is not a fair thing to do. And do get at least 2lt of drinking water and your share of food/snacks.

Kind of obvious, but not harm in stating it again:

You are responsible for the safety of your vehicle where ever you choose to park it. In past, people have parked their vehicles at the base of the OTR venue and nothing has happened -- but that is no guarantee for future :-)

Yes. That's VERY Important and is applicable for everyone.

You make sure that you are carrying water for yourself (2lt/person) NOT /vehicle .

It will be VERY HOT out there and without water you would be toast.

Vijay,

We will be missing you and your cl500. However the solace is , TG halli will be there to ride again. As you always knew, TG halli is the heaven of offroading in Bangalore, which offers immense challange for offroaders.

Dear All,

Here is the final list of participants in 1st March 2009 OTR at TG Halli.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...iNS7tOSg&hl=en

As the days are becoming too hot, it is suggested by mods that we carry individuallly breakfast packets along and consume the same at the OTR site to avoid delay in starting. The plan is to leave sharp at 6.30 a.m. from Reliance Petrol Station/ Magadi Road/Nice Road bridge and reach OTR spot by 7.30 a.m. latest. Schedule to complete the OTR by 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

After the OTR, we assemble at a designated dhaba/ restaurant for a get together lunch and quenching thirst.

As informed earlier, please carry following.

2 ltrs of drinking water on each person
Radiator Water
Tow Ropes
Necessary tools and spares, consumables
Breakfast packets
Short eats

PS: Please follow the instructions of mods/ leaders to effectively carry out Offroading safely.

Please be on time to avoid grunts.

Have fun.

Great point. This way we avoid stopping midway for b-fast chai etc etc. So to reiterate, we meet at the designated meeting points and head directly to the OTR spot. NO stopping for b-fast.

One more thing: dwarak sir, In the excel sheet you have mentioned role sof people like Group leader, facilitator 1/2.

What is expected from them and from members? It would be good if we articulate that here also.

Sowmya, The number are HUGE for this OTR and lot many people are joining. Please FIRM up your ride, with whom you will travel. Wouldn't wan't that you come all the way and find no place.

I am sure someone moght offer a place in their 4x4, if they have any.

Cheers,

Khan Saab,

Group leader ,being an experienced off-roader will lead the lead through obstacles. Facilitators will guide the other members through OTR and help leader in task. Sweep will cross the obstacles last after every member is through on OTR. Ultimately, the whole thing is to act as morale booster for newbies and manage the big group with ease.

Great. This explanation will help participants during the OTR.

NO one overtakes the Group Leader.

Drivers, please listen/pay attention to the facilitators for directions/spotting. Listening to multiple people giving directions/spotting can be a recipe for disaster.
