BLR-Tippagondanahalli OTR 20th September 09

Hi folks,

Bangalore District has received good rain in the past one week. Means we have good amount of slush everywhere. Been long time since, we visited the Great Thippagondanahalli- heaven of offroading. Am I exaggerating? This OTR spot has taken lot of toll on jeeps and gypsies. Am not trying to scare, but a real challenge.

TG Halli terrain is a combination of slush, rock and mud. Only 4X4's are allowed.

Coming Sunday i.e. 20th September is the offroading. Please start confirming your presence for OTR.

As usual, the necessities are ;

Tyres, Tow ropes, winches, Shackles, Radiator water, spares and tools, short eats, drinking water, and so on.

Confirmed :

Name Vehicle contact No.

Dwarak MG 418(Isuzu) 94481 40425

Hope to see good numbers.

Warm regards,
Dwarak

Of course it's ok. Anybody can come as long as they're willing to rough it out.

Replying on dwaraka's behalf.

I have been waiting to witness an OTR!!

I don't own any 4X4. I have a Zen.

I really want to come for the OTR. Can i join the OTR? Is it walkable along with trekking Jeeps?

It is off Magadi road approximately 50kms from Majestic. Just follow Magadi Road and you will hit the place. PM me in case you need further details.

I would suggest, come along, it would be fun to see the Forester off roading. It is mighty capable and yes, you always have the option of backing out whenever you feel you have had enough or/and being towed wherever stuck...

I would suggest you to hop in one of the 4x4, look yourself once and then decide.

This place is full of challanges. its not just about capability of vehicle alone. It also depends on how comfortable are you if the vehicle gets scratched/damaged etc. No I am not trying to scare you, but since I have seen this terrain, and its full of rocks and bushes, I thought of giving my humble opinion.

I am sure, the experts will accept.

Mjothi ne muh ki baath cheenli. First timers please do not drive your vehicles to extreme. Observe the others and then decide based on comfort
