Hi Guys,

We finished Recce#5(03-07-2011).

The weather was very pleasant and there was an occasional drizzle to make things better.

The terrain has been recently quarried, so cross country driving was was exciting.

The pics have been converted to a slide-show video, will add a nice music clip next time.

Hey guys the photos of the Palar area look great! Seems like a really nice place to go off roading. I'm new to Team BHP and have a couple questions that I would be extremely grateful if some of you more knowledgeable folk could answer:

Can anyone tell me where the Palar river bed is and how I get there?
Are there any upcoming Recce / Off Road outings planned in Chennai?
Do I just follow these threads to get info about off roading events?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on these events and thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions!

Very much looking forward to going off roading with you all in the near future.

Hi Vishnu,

We don't disclose the Entry and Exit points to the riverbed, because people can get into a lot of trouble and create a lot of trouble when the go into an OTR without preparation.

For TPC as an Organiser or as a Competitor we suggest that the person has prior off-road experience. (at least 3 OTRs) .

The Regular Chennai OTRs will resume after TPC2011, Sept-Oct 2011.

Hi Guys,

I'm uploading the online version of the TPC2011 - Competition Handbook.

Each Competing Team will be give 3 Handbooks (Hard Copy) for ready Reference at the time of registering on 11th August 2011.

Any updates or Changes to the Handbook will be covered in detail during the Driver's briefing on 11 August 2011.

Hi Jaggu,

In TPC2008, was organized from the AZ Campsite, and since we had the time and infrastructure, we decided to include a some Basic First Aid Techniques, during the drivers briefing and then conduct a Quiz on Day#1 Evening, along with some solutions to basic Off-Road problems.

3 Questionnaire will be handed to each Team with approx 20Questions with Multiple Choice of Answers, they will be filled up (Ticked) and submitted and the answers will be discussed and Points will be scored and Tallied.

However the idea of conducting a quiz right before the SS, is quite innovative and maybe useful in jump starting a lot of slow revving minds early in the morning.
