Should the rake of the C pillar be little more slanted so that it is parallel to the window and the B pillar. See the red line in the attached pic.

The corrections are being made and was already pointed out by Fazal Sahib. :thumbs up

Arun,

There were some fine tunings in the fit and finish. We will again check for finer details after the present corrections. The roof panel pic. posted by you shows the cavity for the rubber seals to come.

BlackRaven,

That part has been pointed out and the final top will be free of any shortcomings. For a sportier look it has something (not in the pictures), let that unfold at the final stage.
Regards,

Excellent work! I am very curious to see the integration of tail gate with the hard top. No pics of that yet, the spare tyre obscures all the details.

@Samurai. This particular Jeep has a swing out rear tyre carrier so, hopefully we will see the clear pics shortly.

Is it just me , or i feel the C-pillar original slope does match the B-pillar slope VISUALLY. I guess the symmetry to window rake is slightly off but i cant seem to visually notice the difference to the B cause its wider at bottom narrowing as it reaches the top. Is this logical enough to understand the design and see from where the difference in rake angle had risen from.

Ive not done any of the geometric exercises, just commenting visually and feel so.

fazal bhai
the hard top on the thar looks great....Jeep Wrangler Sahara DNA very obvious
whats the projected cost of the top?
the cost of front facing seats, and other mods
amar

Great job with the hardtop creation. In its final shape, i am sure it would look great. Kudos for the effort, guys.

Fazal bhai,
congrats on the wonderful top. Hope to see the finished product soon. I have a few questions,

a) After the hard to is fitted, is it possible to have those roof mounted fog lamps fitted?
b) Will there be enough space to mount any speakers on the inside and yet be able to open the sun roof?

Dr. Amar,

Yes, the concept (roof panels) is from Wrangler, very vital a hot country like ours, especially non-AC Thar's, nature, adventure and family outings.

The final costing has yet to be arrived by Prabhu but it will be 100% value for money, affordable and not highly priced.

Front facing seats are the owners prerogative and cost, not part of the top.

Conscious effort has been taken so that there are zero mods or alterations to be done to the stock Thar to fit this top.

Amartya,

Thanks,

a) Yes, the fog or aux. lamps can be fitted but on a rail, never fit these things on a non metal body like FRP or puncture a water tight top.

2) Mounting the speakers will be no problem as the space in the rear cabin is the same as it is with the soft top, no gain no loss.
Regards,

Fog lamps have no purpose on the roof, the fog lamps should be mounted as low as possible to the ground. You may however install flood lamps on the roof for off-road driving. You should never turn on roof lamps on regular roads, it will blind the oncoming drivers.

This is great Prabhu / Fazal saab. I am sure a Hyderabadi HT will beat everything when it comes to workmanship. However, the features and pricing will decide the products success.

It is good to see Thar evoke such passion among enthusiasts and businessmen alike, just goes on to show the potential this product has.

All the very best, would love to see this personally sometime soon.

If I remember correctly, Its also illegal to install any lights above the stock headlights.

The design looks nice. Any update on the final fit and finish /completed photos? Also on the pricing and availability ?
