Off-Topic, but Gowtham Santhakumar from Pollachi, TN has developed a cable operated selectable diff lock for 19 & 30 spline Dana 44. Best to contact him on 9976631118. Price is about 31.5K. He is offering one year warranty.

Please note that I don't know him personally and have not used this product, but just putting it out there since it may benefit off-roaders. Please do your research and check references before proceeding.

Got the lockers and installed as I am in Bangalore this week I couldn't get chance to personally check the quality of the Materiel etc. Will test it on Shekleshpur OTR.

Re: Eaton MLD (M-Locker) now available off the shelf

I am planning to put Eaton e lockers on my Fortuner 4x4. Have asked few vendors online for quotation and feasibility. Any inputs are requested if anyone has done similar mod before.
Thank you.

Re: Eaton MLD (M-Locker) now available off the shelf

Can anybody help regarding specs of rear & front differential of a 4x4 Fortuner in India.
I mailed one of the vendors for elockers, but as he has never put them before in a Fortuner he is not having the details. searched extensively online but results are available for international 2016 Fortuner or SA Fortuners.
1. Pinion bearing preload?
2. Backlash?
3. No. of spline?
4. Ring gear bolt torque...etc

Re: Eaton MLD (M-Locker) now available off the shelf

Thanks to Pranav Sharma for sharing the following information!

Quote:
Eaton confirmed that MLD is compatible with the new 2015 Scorpio. Many folks on Team-BHP are keen to get it installed, but neither Mahindra nor Eaton was confirming the compatibility.

Now the locker can be installed on the new Scorpio. Kindly put the updates on the relevant threads.

Thanks,
Pranav

Dear Pranav,

Mahindra has confirmed that they have completed CAD study and based on same present MLD looks to be compatible with New Scorpio's Banjo axle.

Ashim Dhar

Dear Pranav,

We are still to get update from Mahindra on compatibility on existing MLD with new Scorpio axle.

In case the design is different, it is not possible for us to alter MLD design only for aftermarket volumes.

This technology is viable for production only for high volumes.

We will inform you as soon as we get any update from Mahindra.

Regards,

Ashim Dhar
