I have fitted the following auxilliary lights in my Bolero 4wd

1. A pair of Hella Rallye 3003 and a pair of Hella work lamps at front
2. Single Hella Work lamp at the rear.

Rallye 3003 comes with 55 watts H1 bulbs. I have converted that to 100 watts H1 Osram bulbs. The lights are excellent. Rallye 3003 gives a very good beam pattern and works as my long range lamp. Hella work lamp is focused side ways to work as cornering light and for close range illumination, it is very useful in offroad situation.

The rear Hella work lamp is my camping light.

i know i a going a little off topic here, having some body work done on my mm540 and wanted to know if getiing a set of projector headlamps fitted in the grill would be of any disadvantage, theyre from a skoda and i plan to place them where the nipple lamps would be , below the main head lamps .

if you are not placing any winch or aux lights on front bumper, then fitting the projectors on that location is ok. but check for beam spread in low beam, as skoda projectors are only low beam projectors. (the front bumper may hinder the low beam spread, due to location you planned)

plate holes to fix it.

thank you shekharan , no i dont plan for a winch as of now, or any lights on the bumper, feel theyd crack up the easiest . the spread is pretty good on a friends gypsy, he has them placed on the front bumper. and guess they can act as a decent short distance light. and i guess they may be more visible in fog as compared to fog lamps. am not sure though

Please coudl you tell where did you get your light force lights installed. I have a pair of 240 bliz that I am looking to install on my scorpio and am not very keen on getting a crash gaurd installed.

Also any issues on the way its been installed on your fortuner?

since the bumper design of the fortuner and the Scorpio is not similar so I think the lights would be difficult to mount in a similar fashion.I would suggest u install the front guard of the Scorpio Getaway minus the round pipe on the top.It serves the purpose very well and looks nice too.BTW it is a very strong mount for any kind of lights,this i am telling you from personal experience as had previously installed HELLA rallye 4000 HID lamps on my (now sold) Scorpio.Mind you the hella lights weigh a ton.

Hi would you have a visual reference of the front guard for the getaway that you are talking about. Also would you know of a place I can get it in Delhi. I am doing the rounds of Karol Bagh next weekend and hope to end the lights and front guard saga. Thank you once again for your help.

Rallye 3003 light throw is a little longer than the older 3000's. The Rallye 3003 are the new series from Hella, replacing the Rallye 3000s. Diameter of the Spotlights is 222mm and they also take a sidelight so it can be used as 12v or 24v depending on which bulbs you put in.

Diameter : 222 mm

The only difference I can see is that the 3000's never had the parking lights and the 3003 has one. Aesthetically almost the same except for the grey ring around the dome.

Hi Sammyaulakh, can you post more pictures of the mounting brackets for those Lightforce aux.lights on your Fortuner? I've just bought a pair of Hella 4000 (Metal ones) for my Innova, but am yet to find a good installer. I do not want to drill holes in the Bumpers, and the lights should not vibrate. The Unibar brackets would be good, but I think they would vibrate once the Hella 4000's are fitted.
