Re: Jeeps from Punjab.

Does this thing turn? and if yes by how much.
I am sure its turning radius will give tanks a run for their money. I know though most modern tanks can rotate at their own place.

Re: Jeeps from Punjab.

I guess this is more of a "Tractor with a Jeep body" rather than a "Jeep with tractor tyres".

Sorry Ravindra, I have the photo from the rear only.

Punjab is going crazy for these tyres.

Re: Jeeps from Punjab.

Totally illegal . They wont survive 10 minutes in Chandigarh before they get fined. My Bolero tires are just an inch outside the fender line but still got fined in Chandigarh. These pictures are from Ludhiana. Here traffic police is much more lenient i.e. more interested in bribes. Coming back to the tires , these kind of tyres are easily available here. They wear-out very fast. They are impractical, costly and dangerous for other commuters.

Re: Jeeps from Punjab.

I'm no jeeper so could be completely wrong but on the face of it those tyres look completely useless. Not sure they serve any purpose other than "perceived" eye-candy thrills / shock value.

Re: Jeeps from Punjab.

Why does it say Flotation King?? Does it make the jeep float on water? If so, we are looking at an amphibious vehicle here.

Re: Jeeps from Punjab.

I have One question in mind.

Finding these tires is easy. But how to they find the Rim so wide which can take a Tyre so huge

Re: Jeeps from Punjab.

Woah didn't know the trend of "tractor tyres" was this common! I was frankly shocked at seeing this. How do they turn these things!

Spotted at Jalandhar, May'13.

Any tank/bulldozer new or antique (I deliberately didn't say old) can almost rotate in same place.
