Thats a great feat @Alpha. Charging to Leh in an open jeep, man thats really awesome. Do start a new thread ASAP on your experience. |
Yes he was jealous he wasn't tasting the Air like us when we rode pastlol: so he decided to drive top down...it was beautiful two royal enfield 500cc motorcyles and a jeep... 1950's technology blasting down mountain roads.
A couple of pictures of my MM550 with new D-Hooks!!!
Harjeev, your jeep looks so neet and official. I would rate it "the most decent looking" jeep. D hooks are strong, may be the middle hook not required anymore.
Thats a real neat Jeep you have got, looks frest out of the assembly line.

Alrighty then.. my jeep is pretty close to being done in the looks department. I still need to work on the top, alloys and a new set of tyres. |
@yogesh
Thanks buddy!!! I actually feel now that the 5 long months spent on refurbishing it were well spent.
The middle hook is purely for looks in its present state!!!
I will put a long & thick steel plate on the inside the bumper so that the pull pressure(when I use it) is transferred to the entire bumper rather than just in the center of the bumper!!
See you next friday!!! When are you coming to Delhi???
harjeev,
whats that above the right d hook making its way to the bay.

Power Steering setup is on the drivers side and goes back into the engine bay.

Topless is the way to go...wind in the hair, dust in the face, the occasional bug, pebble and lump of mud....but one's face is numb with cold so nothing really matters. :D
BTW, the engine in my jeep is early 70s tech.
good reasons to be LIFEGAURDS in Goa, and you get paid too!!!!!!!!!

these are fitted with M2Di Turbo engines with 4 speed Gear box and a manual 4x4, 235/75 R 15 tyres and a nice Ramsey Winch up Front, although, running in sand all the time has taken its Toll on them

Reminds me of the scene at Calangute when I went there last October. Two brand new red bolero invaders were commissioned the same day and the driver was literally struggling to get the vehicle out from the soft sand of the beach.
Can you please tell me How to upload Pictures ?

Nice camper 4wd's but the colour sucks:Frustrati Are you sure about M2di engine? I think they are regular MDi turbo 3200 engines. M2di engines generate about 70 bhp against the 63 bhp of of Di turbos found only on M2di scorpio.
