Hi Ashley,

The Bolero dash boards are easily available at Mahindra spare part dealers. The Grey coloured dash without ac vents costs Rs.3900, With ac vents it costs Rs.4200 and the beige coloured dash with ac vents costs Rs.5200 in Delhi.

Meters need to be bought separately, you cannot fit the Bolero meters in the Marshal's dash.

Regards,

Autocraze

Some neat Jeeps I found during my search. No these are not for sale.

Thanks AutoCraze, some nice info here. Also you mean you cannot fit the Marshals meters on the Bolero Dash.

Yup that will show him. you would need 5Rs to touch up your bumper. He would need a new bumper.

Thanks for providing accurate information. i will check it out at my nearest M&M dealer

My SLE has analog odometer.
I guess SLX has digital odo + RPM meter.

This is the SPOA jeep that i had taken pics of on the road (posted in Khan's SPOA thread)

Here are some pics of my MM550. I still haven't taken it to any of the OTR's as I have just got it home last week.
The complete journey took me 5 months and I have documented all of it here

I still have to buy the tyres though. I am on the lookout for Apollo Bullets. Thought my first choice was and is MRF Sandgrips but they are very hard to get. I think that I should get Bullets in this week

Looks great Harjeev after the long restoration process on it.

Harjeev, Lovely looking Jeep. I think this has the closest look to the original Army 550.

Thanks Raghu & Ironwolf
It has indeed been a very long journey and I got to learn loads in the process.
I still have many things planned but will do it very slowly...
It rides wonderfully now and I am not just saying this as its my jeep but Ive driven many 550's at the NIOC otr's

Some MRF Sand Grips 7.5 x 16 are available in Mayapuri itself at Palji auto. He had quoted 8,500 for a pair. Check if you have the time.

Harjeev,
Make sure sandgrips or Bullets that you plan on your Jeep are manafactured 2007 onwards or you will wear them out before it is time for your next morning shave.

There is some stock available with a dealer in Karolbagh of Apolo Bullets manufacturing date around 2004/2005. The dealer was hell bent upon me to buy 5 tyres from the set and was willing to reduce the price by 1000-1200 bucks.
I refused and said that the tyres I will take, the manufacturing date should under any circumstance not be older than a year. I am still waiting, though he has promised me tyres withing this week.
