Hi DrJones,
You have a fine looking Jeep there. I bet it would be great to drive aswell. Please do comment on the offroading abilities of your tires, the BF's? I have heard a lot about them from Tyre dealers but not from any Jeeper.
Regards,
Autocraze

These tyres have been discussed extensively in the tyre thread.

Desertfox, thats a beautiful CJ3A, very immaculately restored. Good to hear that its running strong with its original Go-devil engine.
Please convey my personal regards to your brother.

Well maintained i must say. These marshals had less noisy DI engines that were super torqy.
Thank you friend. Yes, HE(referrring a JEEP as SHE is blasphemous) is lovingly maintained and cared. Now, can I fit a Bolero dash board without much modifications? And what will it cost approximately? Please answer, gurus. And here are some more pics

Well this is the pics which were taken when the jeep just got back from its hospital! Attachment 84737 Attachment 84738
PS: I really like Desertkings mods on his vehicle. Really suitable option to go from a closed top to an open top option. Should have done lil more research!
Maybe next timelol: |
Dear Maddy 42 Its a exelent job done I think it needs a final polish as paint is still dull, as far as gloss is concerned. Wait for some days then give final polish that is always advised by most of the painters allover india.

Hi Ashley too good job done with clean bodyline and good painting finish overall, pls get rid of two things
BLAUP sticker on rear wind sheild and rear stepony cover with a
wheel cover, instead cover it up with a flexible rexine cover available in the market , but upholstry shade choise is nice.Pls be careful of that music system it is inviting a chor to steal it,it will take him no more then 4 minutes to walk away with it, pls dont forget to remove the front panel even if you are going out of the jeep even for 5 minutes.

The bolero dash is good if you want to have a/c. The present ones look good and is simple. Apart from looks department bolero dash doesnt offer you any thing. This will invite freash set of dials and wiring extensions. Purely depends upon your taste. It may cost between 5k -10k.
Th vehicles interiors look good especially i liked the music system console. Did u custom make it or was it available in market? The onlyt thing i miss in your jeep is 4wd:uncontrol
Hello Iqbql, will keep your suggestions in mind. i selected that wheel cap since I could not find a fibre spare wheel cover like that on the Bolero. yes, I will be careful with the system.
Now, is it possible to mate a BA 10 gearbox with my current MDI 3000 engine?please everyone.....stupid:
Hi Vinod, The upholstery is custom made with artificial leather. it was done 4 years ago and has started to show it's age. As to the music system console,(let it be a secret) it was cleanly lifted from a Maruthi 800 and i found that it is a perfect fit for all Jeeps including 540. Will cost less than 1000 Rs.
Thank you for your suggestions on Bolero dash.I felt for it when some fool having an Alto told me in the face that " why, this thing is too obsolete that it even doesn't have a place to fit the perfume bottle?Sell it and buy a proper car"(read Alto/Santro/Spark and such lot). I retorted that jeeps are not meant to ferry perfume loving foolish women( and their equally feminish counterparts like him, though I didn't say that) for shopping; we jeep lovers are a different lot and also challenged him to come anywhere :Frustratinear that steel bumpers with his Alto, if he was daring enough!
