Noise insulation

Milantbhp,
You have a 4 speed gearbox. MDI 3200 A is very noisy. What have you done for noise insulation? (apart from plonking a super woofer to cancel all other noises)
Taller tyres must be helping you to cruise better.

Your jeep looks great. Have you shortened the long wheel base Kaiser? Plus i see extended spring beds like MM540. Did you add them or is that a cut short MM540 with Kaiser body on top of it?

Paint job is great and vehicle overall looks great!
Dear Vinod/SunChaser,
Just one question, when you say, the shortened wheel base, where do they cut the chassis? I hope, they don't cut it in the middle and weld it back. Do they? Or do they do it at the ends? Could you kindly throw some light?
Thanks a lot.
Cheers,
Deepak

Hi Ashley,
I had problem of scrubbing all tyres on body, so I have added one set of auxiliary leaf spring plates ( 4 nos. ) It is avalable for Marshal, Armada & Bolero, I think all are same. Now its ok.
The main use of an inverter is for camp lighting and charging of all batteries like mobile phone, handy cam etc. It will work whole night without starting the engine becaust 2 batteries are there. Also we can operate drilling machine, blender mixer, TV, cutting machine... whatever within 600 watts limit.

cheers

The steering wheel is imported ( Japan ) and the power steering unit is from TATA SUMO because spares are easily available.

I know what you felt. My jeep was almost done in a year too. I was getting it done at my uncles garage in Jaipur.

Its a Tata SUMO power steering unit, fitted just behind the bumper and not visible from top because of the winch.

Buddy , how much does it cost to you ?

I just searching for a reliable power steering kit for my CJ500

saw the old imported set of the suzuki samurai , but they are asking 10,000.

I saw the ones of old Tata estate and siera , are they all the rack type ?

Which one is the best for a cj 500 (i mean economical )

Which one suits the best ?

Gurus please throw some light

Go for Tata only ( Sumo, Estate, Safari & Siera all are same ) because they are cheeper and availability of spares (Price 7,000.00 ) For my Marshal they charged me 15,000.00 with installation.
