Santosh,

This is not my jeep. Hence cannot create my own thread:-) Owner wanted to create a 6x6 alike some defender models. He says drive will be like AL tarus 2016 dump truck. Further he is going to retain 2 diesel tanks. Rear suspension modifications would include Sierra type coil over's

I have my doubts on-

1. Huge turning radius (evident)
2. true functionality of the twin axle drive
3. Rear boggie suspension arrangement
4. power train

Hope the owner surprises us on these counts. Wishing him all the luck on this unique project

p.s- Body work was excellent especially the grill part!!

The story is that he has been inspired by the lorry design.

He had bought 2 jeeps and merged into one.

All 6 wheels would be working. It has 2 fuel tanks and lot of technacalities.

what i like was the front grill . It made the look big and beastly. Will have to wait and watch how the vehicle does offroads.

The owner is a Jeeper and has 6 jeeps to his collection.

Now the pictures.
the grill is an overkill.

The concept is very different but the modifications till now seem to be very neatly done. regarding off road ability (if it is ever taken off road) ,would it get advantage like the tatra truck if the suspension travel is long enough?

Regards

AWESOME!!! the rims are army MM540 rims but what is the tyre size?? also why don't you put the indicators back into their place.

are the 540 rims available in every accessory shop or they are acquired through army auction??

Hi Thanks for the compliment, Herbie actually requires some body work.Plan to leave the indicators as they are as remembrance of the first owner thanks to whom I have the original key that was used to turn the ignition.
cheers

1>Shouldn't be a big problem if he has access to the PTO parts used in the jeep. An ambassador's diesel flange coupled with the above mentioned will give you a nice 6x6.
2> Not sure about the strength of the drive line achieved.Definitely know it will work to some level.
3> Behram should be able to throw more light on it.
Cheers

Dear Randeep,

I refer to third pic from top. Please note the tyre RHS looking from front. Do we need to chage the orientation of tyre by 180 degrees? - Just a thought.

Today as I was driving home for lunch, I noticed VLWB Classic. VLWB stands for very long wheel base classic. So I decided to take a photo or two on the way back.

When I came back, I was shocked to see two Jeeps instead of one. Both were Geldings, not Stallions. Both the owners were not around, so I couldn't speak to them.

This is a Commander 650/750 converted to look like Classic or VLWB Classic. Dead axle in the front.

The second was more confusing. The hood looked like MM550, the body is SWB, but the mud flaps say MM540. It is a nicely modded Jeep though. Live axle, but disconnected.
