Well said, see my reply above I was trying to get some comparison picture about cater or solex.
Hi,
Stick to the Solex, but make sure that it is the correct setup for the F134. Too many people fiddle with it trying to get better economy. Have even seen Ambassador/ Padmini Carb bodies on CJ3Bs.

@ Siva,
any further updates on the restoration of NAVIGATOR ??
Try for the new set of pics.
For the technical info, try for CJ3B homepage.

I wish to post pics but I'm stuck with the unavailability of the chassis. I'm worried and yet to find any solution for the CJ3B chassis. Do you think you can help me with finding a chassis from Mumbai ?

@ Siva,
I really don't know about the availability of chassis in Mumbai. I can try for the chassis on CST-Kurla Road or Chor Bazaar after my university's automobile engineering exam finishes on 10th January 2010.
You can contact Mr.Abhilash Nambiar who has recently restores his JONGA & he also has Mahindra CJ3B "BHIMA".
I have sent you his mobile number & e-mail ID in PM.

If it is in a really good conditioned one, should cost around Rs.5000

I will wait for your search result ;-)

I'm bit of reserved to contact Abhilash as me being a stranger and unknown to him, think it won't be that good to just ask a favour.

@ Siva,
Arre I am also a stranger before we talked to each other last year. Don't be shy to talk with Abhilash. He will definitely help you. He is definitely having better contacts with the Jeep part dealers than me & also tell that I have given his number to you & you are his Orkut friend.

All the Best Siva for restoration. I am confused here, It's a CJ3B not a Kaiser.

Thank you.

He he he It is not Kaiser, I'm aware of it. This Jeep is a pure Mahindra RHD CJ3B Petrol

But why did I post the title as Kaiser, because my Jeep's original 1969 registration book claims so.

I know it was a mistake by then RTO guys in Chennai. Hence the thread is based on my RC book's Jeep model column specs.

Hi Shubhendra,

Kaiser JEEP Corp was a manufacturer of JEEPs in USA, and during their reign they confirmed the License to M&M to make the CJ3B, hence the Mahindra CJ3B, under license is a Kaiser JEEP.

Colloquially the M38A1, M170, CJ5, DJ5 & CJ6 are known as the Kaiser JEEPs/Korea JEEP/UNESCO JEEP i.e all the round bonnets.

Kaiser Jeep - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Regards,

Arka

PS - UBS can add some more details.
