Yes, But I'm from Chennai and sourcing each and every part from Mayapuri is practically impossible. However with some TBHPians help, I could source many items for both of my Explorer and Navigator jeeps.
Now the updates:
1. Tail gate with Jeep written on it - Mr.UBS helping me getting it.
2. Windshield with push open type glass frame - Already sourced brand new.
3. Dash board small indicator lights and aluminum plates - Got it
4. Gear lever knobs original type - Got it
5. Side view mirrors that goes on the body front side with a rod - Naren from Rajastan is helping me sourcing it
6. A spiral pipe manual air horn - Got it
7. Emergency break assy with drum, carrier plate, break handle and cable etc. - getting it from my home town, should be with me in a weeks time
8. Original military type Scissor top fittings - Mr.UBS helping me getting it
9. Right hand mudguard blackout light - Naren from Rajastan is helping me sourcing it
10. 7.00x16 NDMS tyres (5 nos) - Not reached upto this level
11. Tow hook for trailer old type - Got it
12. Small shawl - Got it
13. Rear Bumper protectors - Not available at this point
Now the Jeeps engine bay mechanical works have been completed. The minor things that were changed are 1. Water Jacket replacement, 2. Original type oil filter has been installed, 3. Brand new water hoses have been put into place.
Tomorrow my Navigator will have a good radiator that I have removed from my Explorer today. I have already scrapped the current petrol jeep's radiator as I purchased a new four core radiator for my Explorer. I hope the petrol engine will have good cooling with three core radiator itself.
All the missing four wheel drive components such as front axles, crown pinion and drive shaft have been installed.
Additionally our Swastikvijay helped me getting a free wheeling hubs from Bangalore and they are alreayd on the transit with the help of MM440(Jammy Anand).
Issue:
When I about to drive the Jeep back to home after the mechanical preparation I found an issue with the front differential and the jeep could not good smooth. My mechanic suspects mis-matched front and rear differntial ratio.
Tomorrow we will work it out to make the jeep run smoothly with four wheel drive.
One more thing I wanted to know is about a pipe that is popping out from the delco assy and one more pipe kind of outlet which is next to the oil filter (I mean the small pipe that is coming out from the dip stick tower)
