Let me explain, MSTC sent me the delivery order, and mentioned that last date for delivery is 10th feb 2010, i gone to the depot on 7th feb, after reaching their the Depot officer explained me that we have to inform the depot minimum 10 days before delivery date, this is because they have to inform southern command Head qtrs in Poona, and they send a representative from Poona to deliver the vehicles, in this regard they can't deliver the vehicles, again i gone their on 10th feb that day they have some other lots to deliver, with that lots they delivered our lot of Jongas.

The Delivery Missed- 5200.00 is the Expenses of My Swift's fuel and Food expenses of My 3 friends who came with me.

same here! we had been to Gangtok (1984) to visit my dad who was stationed there for a few months and that's when i first got to sit in the Jonga. unlike the other Jeeps the Army uses, the Jonga had doors and i was quite quizzical when i first laid eyes on them! i remember they had this two small levers near the main gear shifter - i guess there were for engaging 4x4.

congrats guys! love those Jonga's! can't wait to see how they turn out after the restoration!

update :)

A small update guys.. i was able to see my JONGA in flesh only after 8 months after the purchase. had no time to look at it. few threads that came up recently on JONGA reminded me that i too own one
Hence last weekend i spoke to my mech and booked him for doing up the mechanicals. last Thursday took it for a wash

and on same night had to tow this mammoth for 25-30km with my JEEP to reach my mech.

And this is Viji's JEEP & JONGA, currently undergoing body work.

this weekend we tried to start the engine and within no time realized what an engine it is.. wow!
