Did the snorkel really help on your recent trips ? Worth the money ?

Another question, how did you fit those auxillary lights ? Did you remove the plastic nudge guard when you put this steel one ?

Cheers

Re: Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8

Ricky you are right, that plastic add on has to be removed to fit that guard.

Well I am not convinced on the applicability of the snorkel in our conditions.

I would assume that in the outback of Australia and Africa where you would have extremely dry conditions and loads of dust and streams that need to be crossed which can become deeper with faraway rains it would help.

As regards the aux lights, these are mounted on a '[' shaped bracket and once I removed the center nudge guard for the steel bumper, this bracket was fixed on the iron beam.

As an aside, I have followed with the RRR guys and also offered my Pajero as a trial vehicle for their 'Spider' thingy but no response till date..

cheers

Re: Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8

Ricky my friend you have defenitely lead the way to get & set the vehicle of your dream with everything she needs. Both your cars look sweet & once all mods are complete, I am sure they will defenitely rock the road. Also, let me be the 3rd person around to call you "Whacked Out" - for buying the 2nd Pajero ! You rock man... Thats what I call following your passion.

BTW have you tried to get the baby dirty, please try & post some off roading pics of your pajero. It will be a good chance to test the "Iron Man" in it.

I would not remove the plastic nudge gaurd - it looks nice to me. I think one can add aux lights even to that & reinforce it with some metal contraption.

Ya mounted on a metal bracket is the ideal way to go, the lights would be perfectly steady..

Re: Mitsubishi Pajero 2.8

Hey! Brilliant post and good choice of vehicle.

Could you post a beam shot of the Hellas? I've heard they're quite a treat!

Thanks!

Tassem.

The Hella Projectors have still not been focused properly yet for want of fabricating a custom mounting, will certainly post pics once that is done

Oh NO! This is sad. But you must do what you must do. For health.

But I least expected this wonderful story of love and passion for a machine come to an end.

Wishing you the best, Ricky, and looking forward to the next thread of yours
