No doubt 57 inch front track is desireable...but tell me know how many people in T.bhp/ J.Thrills using MM540/550 have opted for 57 inch axle like you??
How many have sold their old 540's just because they had 51 inch track and under frustration that they couldnt lay hands on 57/53 track?
So many army 550's pre NGCS have been bought at absurd prices. They all had 51 inch track. All have been happy with it those who have used in off road. Are they planning to sell it only because they cant live with 51 inch track axles?
Please plan a visit to Jaipur and some time to Kerela. It is a hot bed of Naya Major market. Look at their loading and useage patterns. They abuse their vehicle much beyond what we do and all on 51 inch track and semi floating axles! None of them converted it to full floating like you. My point here is not to prove 51 inch track axle is better than 57/53. My point is axles with 51inch track isnt a deal breaker as you may project. They are time tested and trusted by many using them day in and day out in real harsh world!
It is the same old thing- some see the glass 10% empty and others see it 90% full
p.s- Arka, in a way you are blessed. You already have the required axles with you. What are you waiting for? THAR DI 4x4 has every thing else you wanted. Why dont you pick up a THAR DI and swap axles? Quote:

Pick ups wheel base is much longer than MM540 as you may know. Turning radius was a major concern in old LWB M&M's. Hence the track change.
51inch track isnt a deal breaker for many real customers who are willing to put their money on table rather than just writing their wish list. Even i do consider 57/53 an upgrade.... But definitely not a deal breaker!
