Silver, White & Red seems to be the most popular colours. What colours did these cars come in?
The Coupé never came from the factory in red; however, the Cabriolets did. There were two variations on red: Rouge Capanelle, and later, Rouge China, both a medium non-metallic red.
Coupé colours were black, white, dark solid grey, dark blue, light metallic blue, non-metallic sky blue and light grey metallic.
Cabriolet colours were the two reds, ivory, two whites, Mendoza blue, light blue metallic, Pavone blue, sky blue.
Many owners have chosen to repaint their cars in other colours.
Oops, I forgot to mention above that the Cabriolet could also be ordered in a light grey metallic...
Now, to continue the work: Peter Teuffel told me this morning that he is in contact with the owner of a 404 Coupé Injection in Africa:

I haven't got a photo or any other information on this car yet, but if I do, I will post it here.
