I knew it had to be something like that. These doodhwala models are very sturdy but they are pretty unsuitable for joyriding. If the bike is right, cycling can be a serene experience. You have a breeze in your face, and sweat keeps drying out keeping you feeling cool and happy.

It was an amazing travelogue.
With some of the most amazing pics of up North i have ever seen. I feel humbled and floored by such an achievement. I feel it is a phenomenal feat to cycle through such terrain, for which I have bought a Safari. I also feel and realize how more people like me with vehicles will affect this pristine setting. All in all, hats off to your brother. It also shows, no matter how much horsepower, manpower still tops everything.

My brother rarely discusses cars with me, or with anyone, for that matter. He does not own any vehicle. Has four bicycles set up for different conditions. Bicycles to work and around town. Lucky he lives in Chandigarh.

That pic is one of my personal favourites too. He has another one of a sign that says "Why is hurry". Pretty philosophical, I feel.

MIND BLOWING .. thats all I can say !! Ive done quiet a few trips on my bike but never done the pedalling bit in the mountaiins ... done a lot of city cycling . Am getting myself a geared bike -- should be with me in a day or so , need to figure out how to use them gears and then see if my ciggarette abused lungs can handle any kind of pedalling .

But dunno if Ill ever manage writing a travelogue after any such trip done on pedal power . Amazing write up with pictures , wonder what hes planning next ??

Im definitely gonna meet him and check his rides out when next in Chd ...

Unless you have legs of steel, geared bicycles are the only option in the hills.

About all your praise, everytime I speak to my brother, I tell him of the kind of comments his travelogue is receiving.

I tell him, that whether its by car or bicycle, its the travel and seeing new sights and places that we like. So, his pages are sure to be appreciated by many on Team bhp.
