Thanks Akash! Seeing 2019 as production year I was taken aback and started thinking I may have been taken for a ride with my purchase. So, I just checked with my SA. He says that the manufacturing year that gets reflected in RC will still be 2020 because this model being a CKD, the VIN reflects the actual year when the parts were manufactured in Germany, however the car was assembled in India this year in March. I am definitely relieved now!

From reading the posts in the starting of the thread i was able to decipher the following:-

Year - 2020 (L- 11th character)
Month - June (f- 6th character)

Online tools throws up incorrect information. (or am i wrong in decoding it?)
From your previous posts i gather you were able to find the engine number and transmissin and specific production date from the VIN alone.

Could you please help provide additional details for this VIN?
