Dears, Just booked Maruti Celerio and VIN number given by dealer is MA3ETDE1S00399211. as per checklist 10 and 11 characters represent year and month but in this case both are either 0 or 'O' which does not represent anything. Has Maruti changed the format, please help.

Look under the bonnet for the stamped VIN it will be followed by an 'X' followed by two digits eg. CH for March {C} ,2017{H}.

Full details are not available for some reason. But rest assured that your car was manufactured in April 2017. The 11th and 12th letters (H & P) indicate the year and month of manufacture respectively.
