Buzzin_hornets,
Like Navin said first listen to your system. If you think the bass is more of a bhok-bhok rather than a thump-thump kind consider putting in a cap. You may actually never need a cap. We have seen so many systems with two amps and with the works which work well without caps. Something like the eyeballer is different.

I guess i may need capacitor in future.I have not driven my car since my FIL left india on 4th.
So when i play some music, with engine on though, the cabin light does flicker a bit on medium to high volume and also i can feel spk producing low volume than when i am running my car.

Amp also gets bit warm after 20-30 min.Probably my subw in sealed box is drawing too much power from amp.

if the sub is 2 ohms it might be drawing too much from the amp. car amps can be run to 4 ohms and even 2 ohms but most are happier being run to 4 ohms.

if your sub is demanding too much power from your amp and your amp in turn is demanding too much from the battery you can have a problem. a cap might solve it but a small 2 ch amp might work just as well.

I notice the second amp works better in installs where 4 speakers and the sub are being run off a single 4 ch amp.

2 ohms for fullrange speaker - i've seen these but never liked the idea. some amps balk at that load. there are few amps designed to run 2 ohms easily.

the only advnatage is that a voltage amp can dump more current and deliver higher watts.
