Damp the rear panels using Dynamat/wurth... JK can help you find a good installer in Tvm to help you with that... else drive down to Ekm

Well, i just put in some screws on the panel on the hatch door of the car
The vibrations are definitely reduced now.

There's fairly Ok sound insulation too, and Once the windows are closed, only some humming comes out of the car.

I guess it should do for the time being :-)

Kb, about the Dynamat..i am not so sure if its available here....my installer didn't know much abt it . As u said..probably need to check it out in Cochin

Hi,
You can get DYNAMAT and such sound dampening stuff at EMPEROR, cochin. I installed WURTH and it was worth the money.

guys, i'm looking at upgrading my system, saw this thread n found it appropriate to post here...
this is my current setup:
Pioneer P1Y HU
JBL GTO 936e 6x9 rear spks
JBL GTO 506ce 5.25" comps in the front
good wires, (got it done from the bhagats)

all 4 spkrs are driven by the HU...
I've thought of two options,
1. Putin a good 4ch amp to power all 4 spks
2. putin a sub.. (to catch wat the 6x9's are missing)

im on a shoe string budget.. so minimum expenditure.. but then again only if its worth it...

audio gurus: Navin & Sam... sirs.. pls help..

cheers!
Shrivz..

good choice dude.

Get a nice pair of RCA cable for your amp and maybe a good amp kit.

Get a decent 4 channel amp; you can power all speakers now and get sa sub later and power it from teh2 channels of amp in bridged mode. The 6x9 should be fed by the HU when you do that.

Sony 504, or Sony 554 are both good choices. The 554 is slightly better powered, though both are good VFM choices.

Best option would be to just get the Amp and use it to power the front speakers, and the 6x9s. A 6x9 powered by an amp acts like an 8" sub. So; you will get enough bass.

On the other hand...no music system is complete without a good sub. So; its your call :-)

I would seriously suggest you to atleast buy the Pioneer 6100F costing 7k. I know you that will beat your budget limitations but i seriously feel that The Sony 504/554 won't do justice to your already good setup. Pioneer 6100F will give you much more cleaner power compared to Sony.
