Yeah it can get addictive. Opened up the door pads again this evening had covered up a few important area's I left out.
I dont even have the ICE yet and after my first round of damping I feel like lining the entire car with the stuff, the engine-wallahs will of course cringe at the thought of the extra weight :uncontrol

Very true sir...I feel like doing more but there is no space left.

In my unending quest to satisfy my thirst for audio nirvana :Frustrati ,
i decided to add damping to my swift. I feel maruti should throw in a couple of damping sheets rather the some of the other freebies they keep offering. So i got in touch with a guy from weurtz india ltd. He himself suggested that the sheets were not as flexible as some of the other brands available in the market . He said most of his customers were people with cars that had been in an accident and were looking for a door job./modification. Now i am really confused . Initially Ajay (b&T) and navin bhai helped me sort out my ICing woes. But i guess that joy was short lived. Can anyone suggest an installer in mumbai who would do a good job of damping at the best price ?? my budget permits me to only go for front and boot damping for the moment. will that suffice ?? I am going to be adding front components anda rear 12 " sub .

I got my cars damped at Bharat Auto in Worli. I am sure other installers in your neighbourhood would be able to help too but you gotta specify what you want done.

B&T would be able to help you this time around too, he's got stock of some pretty useful material.
You can save a fair bit of $$ by doing the damping yourself. Swift panels are as easy to take off as a piece of clothing at the mardi gras!
Check my thread in the Show off section to see what Iv started with wrt damping.

Wow, thats a lot of damping sir, what is the black thing over the damping on the door panel? is that more damping?
What should be the damping priority for a Baleno front door? I mean say among,
a - the inside of the door pad
b - the inner metal sheet of the door (to which the speaker is fixed)
c - the outer shell of the door
etc ....
Just trying to identify max bang for buck, since I'm on a budget right now.
Hey Gandolf_the wise,
Wuerth India have two sound deadening sheets they make available in the market. The industrial damping sheet is thicker by a few mm and is less flexible. The auto damping sheet is quite flexible and does stick to curves very well. This has been my personal experience.
A pack of six sheets, with each sheet measuring approx 2'x3' - costs upto Rs 2950/-. In my recent experience with my Indica, I had the front doors, rear doors, trunk & boot damped with these sheets and used up 3 packs of the same.
Distribution was as follows...
Front door - Inner metal frame, Speaker frame & Door liner
Rear Door - Speaker Frame & Door liner
Boot - Under carpet - all through.
Trunk - Two full sheets on metal frame and inner frame as well.
The material was procurred for me by AutoSonics, Blaupunkt dealer in Bandra. Murugesh is the contact at this place ( if that helps )
Having driven several Swifts as well, I kinda believe you will require the same amount of damping as well.
Do PM me if you need any further information.
Cheers to a noise-less ride thereon.!!!

It is but installing it is pain. As it breaks when folded and needs a hot air gun to install it properly.
