I wanted to change to 6.5inch component speakers
But I am worried about the space in front doors, I dont see any space for tweeters

Anyone here having any experience upgrading HU and speakers to component

Lot many people have replaced HU
But there is no clear mentioning about compatible speaker size.
No mention abt where the tweeters were incorporated.
Wanted to make use of ongoing diwali sale but stuck without help, local technitians who promote their sale of stuffs are of no help
And they are more used to drilling and fixing on door pads , A pillars and dash boards

Just installed Philadelphia 845 in my skoda rapid.
I couldnt find a firmware dowload link on official Blaupunkt site
Also help me regarding the steps to upgrade.
Anyone else using it in Skoda rapid here?

Hello All,

I got the Blaupunkt Philadelphia 845 installed on my Polo Highline TDI 1.5

Somehow both me and the wife are not happy with the Sound output for both the USB and Radio. The stock system sounded better we feel. It cost me 55k and I am now thinking my earlier system sounded better.

Could the Blaupunkt guys help or is it just that much there it is?

Have you changed the speakers? The stock speakers are optimized to work with the stock system's weaknesses. I have the 835 with Focal speakers and it sounds awesome.

As far as the radio is concerned, the connector needs to be twisted a little to make a firm connection. The poor radio quality happened with me as well until the installers figured out what the problem was. No problem since then -

There is no change in speakers. The wife could clearly make out the difference and the old stock just sounded that tad bit better.

I am not sure if i want to buy new speakers but let me check if I could play around with the equalizers and make it any better.

Are you referring to the focal specially for vw? If so I to have this set but not really liking the sound. The bass vibrates my dash as soon as i increase the volume.

I don't have the specific VW model but the speakers I have and the VW ones are based on the same design, I think.

See the video above, I have no rattles. I also cannot understand how speakers in the door can make the dash rattle -- something must be lose. If you want to reduce the base, there are two things to check -- one is the equalizer and second is the bass boost level in settings.

After going through this thread,finally picked up BP 845 for my Passat today. Cost me Rs.24K without installation.

iGo maps by Navteq are included in a supplied Micro SD card. Will have to figure out the map update process.

Installation is on hold as I'm waiting for this rear view camera ordered through aliexpress.

Posting nearly a year or more after a body shop job for my Skoda Octy vRS.

Quick Updates: I have now got a Pre-Worshiped VW Passat Highline AT (2013 Registered 2012 Manufactured)

Into 5 months of ownership, the itch to look at upgrades/updates hits me hard

1. Got a Tuning box from Sweden and installed it under the hood making sight improvement to the bhp/Torque numbers. It now stands at 205BHP/410Nm as against the stock 170BHP/350Nm
2. Felt the tyres were at the fag end of their life. Got Conti MC05 225/55 r16 last week end and boy does he hug the roads so damn tight
3. Next in the list is to upgrade the Stock ICE

Reaching out to stalwarts in teamBHP to provide me with their valuable suggestions. Pardon my ignorance, i am not sure of my ICE model no. But, i am sure that it is the stock one that come with the 2012/2013 B7 Passat.
