Actually no. Custom Clearance takes place at all international ports, Land, Sea or Air. So if you're going to ship something from US or wherever directly to Delhi, it'll be custom cleared there.

So someone is getting the stuff cleared at the Mumbai airport for LBM. That would be a hint.

Or, the person carrying the stuff is from Mumbai and hence the Mumbai airport.

Guess.

A question, when you buy something from abroad like LBM do these custom guys call you up to come and pay duty?
What if the thing you order is 5$ or 10$ stuff?

Oho! I was talking about the person landing in Mumbai airport (CSIA) straight from Dubai. Maybe I am missing something here. Enlighten me, distinguished dhakkan!

I'm not stupid enough to talk about customs clearance at a domestic airport.

1. Ground Zero - 30 paise
2. Boschmann - 40 paise
3. RE - 50 paise
