JBL gto 607c for fronts
JBL 6" coaxials for rear doors CS2165
JBL 60.4 4 channel amp
JBL 300.1 mono block amp
JBL 12" CS1204T bass tube in the boot
Now I hear a slight hissing in the speakers what would be the problem?
I am getting this hissing with CD, MP3 CD, Ipod, but the hissing is very little only, is it normal to get this hissing?. |
no need to tolerate hissing. what type of hissing is this? does it change when you rev the car? if so check cables. the best way to dothis is ask your installer to run new cables and see if the sound reduces or disappears.
Hi,
Gurus please help !!!
Which one is better : PIO 4850,4950, 5850, 5950 ??
I want a decent HU which can drive 937 in the back and 427 in front..
Also please tell me which one of the above has the bluetooth adapter capability ?????
Thnks in advance!
@ Navin sir, thanks for your advice.
I have already changed the cables to Ichibahn and HU to Alpine 9883.
Now its sounding perfect.

1. RC leads needs to be changed;
2. Gain is too much.
Hi,
Guys after 2 days of sleepless nights I have come up with this set-up (of course with the valuable knowledge of you guys). Please let me know how it is.
My budget is restricted to 20k.
1.Pioneer 5950IB Head Unit(5.5k)
2.Front-JBL GTO 607C (6k)
3.Amp- Pioneer 6300 or Blau GT4 Special (6k)
4.Rear- JBL GTO6527s or GTO6537 or (anyother you may suggest) (3-4k)
Prices are estimates picked up from this forum.
As i don't want to fix a plank I am not going for GTO 937 ovals.
This way all the 4 speakers fit into doors(I hope not much of a compromise on the SQ by doing this).
Guys I am not sure about the rear speakers, please let me know if you have anyother model or make in mind which will go better with this set up.
Same goes for the Amp.
Thanks,
Cheers.
Hey,
Are the prices that you have quoted with or without B & W ?

You have 2 sources of knowledge.
1. Pio's website (hard way as you have to figure it out your self)
2. a guru known here as LBM (easy way as LBM will chew all the facts and give you a digested/abridged version).
Pio 4850/5850 have been discontinued, 5950 would be definitely a better option. But I think if you are going in for grey, you may opt for 6950 for app 6.5K.
Hi,
I will get the delivery of my swift VDI this weekend. I need your advice on a basic ICE system.
With the help of DerAlte, this is what I plan to do. The max I am willing to spend is 12 K + remote. :)
HU: Pioneer 2950 or 4950 dependin on which one is more VFM and would complement my speaker choice. I wud prefer a front loading one with Aux-In. Also needed is a steering remote so Pioneer i think is the only option.
Front Components: JBL CS2165C / Blau GTc 172HP
Rear Coaxial: Choice 1 - JBL CS3196 or JBL GTO 937 or Blau GTx693HP if I go for a 6 * 9
Choice 2 - JBL CS2165 / Blau GTX173HP if I go for 6.5 in the stock door location.
- Will the above system fit in my budget. IMO it will only be possible within my budget if you can recommend me someone reliable in the NCR region to get the stuff from without B & W. Else I will have to purchase a lower end system with B&W.
Advice needed on:
- A better combination maybe, if any.
- A trustworthy dealer.
PS: How about using Hertz speakers instead of JBL?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I generally listen to whatever plays on FM, old hindi classics, remixes (once in a while ) and soft rock. No hard metal or rock for me.
Thanks Navin and Pankaj !!!
Thanks for your advice !!
Is there any model with this no : 4950 ?
If yes, then now whats the effective difference b/w 4950, 5950. 6950 ??
Does any of the above has bluetooth capability ? (or capability to be attatched to bluetooth adapter)
LBM......Help !!!!!!
How much does a steering remote for Pio costs? and is it compatible with every Pio?

Head Unit-grey
Reat with B&W
Hi Pankaj,
IN grey market, a Pio steering remote would cost you around 700-800. one of the dealer was ready to give me steering remote for 600, if i dont take the regular remote.
As far as i know, its compatible with every Pio HU !!
