I had a question about the wiring kits I should look at - will an 8AWG kit suffice for my setup ? Or should I look at 4 AWG ?
Is the choice of 4 or 8 gauge affected by my probable future decision to add a mono amp for my sub(s) ?

AWG- American Wire gauge
SWG - Standard Wire gauge

Just different standards. (The american standard had to be different lol)

Do some googling, I'm sure it will make sense.

Yes it will but are you not thinking of adding a second amp later?

Yes, I would like to keep that option open instead of having to rewire in the future.

Well that crops another question in my mind. Is it good to have individual power cables for each amplifier or does one 4 AWG cable with a distribution block make more sense?

distribution block makes for easier wiring.
